I am considering purchasing a Brother MFC-L6900DW and am hopeful a current or former owner of this model can share their experience about it. The characteristics I'm wondering about are:
-- in general does the machine satisfy the advertised specs? - print speed, scan speed, toner cartridge life, etc.
-- does the machine "play well" when scanning-to-network-folder of a Windows 2008 server?
-- does the scan to "searchable PDF" (ie OCR) work well and quickly?
I also plan to buy a Brother TT4000 paper cassette tray. It has four drawers and the MFC-L6900DW sits on top of the stack of drawers. Are there any current or former owners of the TT4000 who can share their experience with it?
I'd really like to see one of these machines for myself but, unfortunately, I cannot find anyone in my area (Rochester, NY) that sells & demos Brother. Several shops will order and sell the product but no one has a demo model.
