hey peeps,
like the title says, I'm trying to wade through the marketing / sales bumf to find my next printer. But man alive, it's tough. If only there was a database that you could put your requirements into and it would spit out the various models that meet your needs …
So far, I've just been doing online research so later this week I'll try to get into a few stores to see what there is. But being in New Zealand, we might not have the latest stock that might be available in Europe or the US. But that's ok, I'm happy to buy online and have it shipped - so I really appreciate if people are able to give some thoughts and pointers.
Some of the ones that I like but don't quite meet the spec are:
Epson Workforce ET-4750 - no duplexed scanning
Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4720 - older powdered ink technology, I'd like to go inktank (unless anyone can point out a major flaw that I've missed)
Brother MFC-J985DW - not inktank
HP 8745 - massive and no-longer available in NZ
But the Canon Pixma TS9560 looks like it might fit the bill?
