c610 usb

hi, I've been given a c610dn which I'm trying to connect to a win7 laptop. i follow all the setup directions but my laptop wont pick up the printer. even just plugging in the usb cable doesnt make laptop load windows drivers. Any ideas?

Does the USB cable work?
Have you checked your firewall setting to the printer?
Reinstall from a driver from the OKI website, should work fine if you follow the instructions with the USB cable.
