Can Epson 200 carts be used in place of Epson 288 carts?

Hello:

I'm trying to bring an Epson XP-434 back to life and in doing so, was about to purchase a set of 288 cartridges for the printer when I read that some people were able to use Epson 200 carts instead of 288. There is a price difference between the two (288 are more expensive).

Can anyone let me know if this is accurate or not?

Answered my own question. The answer is no, unfortunately. Although the 200 cart fit perfectly, the printer couldn't recognize the chip.
