Canon MG4250

I have a Canon MG4250 which has been working fine but for the past few days it displays a message 'not responding' and then a few minutes later it prints what I have been asking for. How do I solve this and get back to instant printing

If Printer USB connected to computer, remove USB plug & re-insert 8 to 10 times.
Do this at both ends of USB cable. Sounds like cable making poor connection.

If Printer Network connected (WIFI), Re-program your Wifi witn SSID and Passphrase.

It is WiFi connected,

It is WiFi. I am not very computer literate and not sure how to re-program, can you give me more information please

First clear your Print QUEUE. Follow these instructions:

See if your printer functions normally now. If not continue with instructions below:

You will probably need your router address (SSID) and router access passphrase (password).
Just follow instructions.

Reset or clear your printer QUEUE first.
