Canon Pixma MG3250 - Ink Pad removal. Heeelllpp!!

I keep on getting the message Ink Pad Full with Error 08 etc, which I can override with Resume button. (Note the ink splatters inside), so ... how do I remove the ink pads to clean?
I attach a pici of the relevant space with the cartridges pushed to the left. Can anyone tell me which part should be (?)lifted out?
