Canon printer with Epson papers

I searched the forum for a discussion on this topic, without success. I currently use a canon ip 4500 printer. Windows 10 pro and PS lightroom. I have always had a slight eggplant hue to all my black and white images printed with this printer (and my canon MG7120) when using Epson papers. Specifically Ultra Premium luster and matte. Is this because I'm mixing printer makers and paper makers? or is something else going on.

thanks

May be. Try Canon Gloss or Kodak Ultima. Then you will know
Try Photoscape application in lieu of Lightroom

I have doubts the accuracy of PS Lightroom when printed. I've experienced inconsistencies with the hues when I used Lightroom.
