Dear aud64,

I had a similar issue once. Since the other colors are working and there's ink in the lines, try printing a simple black-and-white document with only black text. That can help confirm whether the black nozzle is completely blocked or if the problem is related to how the printer is handling color.

Also check the print settings on your computer. Sometimes the printer uses a mix of colors to create black instead of using the black ink only.

If the problem continues and head alignment keeps failing, the black nozzle might be clogged enough that manual cleaning is needed, or the print head could be faulty.
A new print head is always the last option, but sometimes it’s the only solution if cleaning doesn’t help. If the black nozzles stay blocked after multiple deep cleans and manual attempts, replacing the head might be necessary

Hey, sounds like a clogged black nozzle. If you've already done cleans and deep cleans with no luck, try a manual head clean like removing the head and soaking it in warm distilled water or isopropyl alcohol for a few hours. Dry it completely before reinstalling. If that doesn’t work, could be the head itself, even if it hasn’t done much printing. Sometimes they just go bad.
