Canon TS5150 Support Code 5700

Suddenly, my Canon TS5150 has developed an error support code 5700. I've tried the methods shown on various online pages to remove this, but to no effect. I've even tried a hard reset, but still the error notification persists. Before I dump the printer in the bin, can anyone help? Cheers.
