Cheque printing

I have a Brother HL-3150CDW Colour Laser Printer which I'm trying to get to print out occasional cheques from LibreOffice Spreadsheet - but without success. I've gone in to print preferences, defined the page size (156mm x 76mm), set all 4 margins to zero, used manual feed and set printing to Landscape mode, but the infernal thing insists on print a 4cm margin on the left hand side and the bottom. At my wits' end, any ideas?
