I have a question...
While looking at option to reset my cartridge chip, I noticed that for the Lexmark C544 many of the reset tools interface to the printer directly.
When a cartridge chip expires, is that expiration stored on the printer or on the cartridge chip. I have seen some say that the printer registers the cartridge and stores that cartridge chip number and that the chip reset tool erases that chip number from the printer.
So would it work if I was to get somebody's elses chips and put them in my refilled cartridges?
Regards
