Cleaning Canon Pixma Pro100s Printhead - Advice Pls

I've been getting lines in the print when using my Pixma Pro 100s and running the cleaning cycle has made no difference. I bought some cleaning fluid and currently have the printhead sat in about 1/4 of an inch of it and it appears to be removing a lot of ink. I'm going to leave it sat in the cleaning fluid overnight but I'm not sure what to do when I take it out of the fluid and before I put it back in the printer.

Should I wash the cleaning fluid from the printhead, wash out the lines etc, or do I just let it dry and then put it back in the printer? Not sure what the best procedure is at this point in the process.
