I currently have a Canon Pixma Pro 100s and have lots of spare genuine CLI-42 carts for it. I'm in the UK so use refill inks from Octoinkjet (quality basically equivalent to US Precision Colors so they are very good!).
I can buy empty and unmodified CLI-42 carts on eBay for about £1 each. I was wondering if it's possible to make reasonable money from either:
1) removing the bung from the carts, thoroughly cleanning them out and drying them before selling them as "ready to refill", or
2) as above but also refilling them as selling them as good quality refilled carts.
Obviously in either case I could sell for more than I paid for the uncleaned carts but I was wondering if anyone had tried 1) or 2) (or both?) and did you find it was worth the effort vs. what you could sell them for?
