Connect with both USB cable and Wireless at same time?

I have a Canon Pixa MP620. I currently have it connected to my desktop via the usb printer cable. I want to also be able to wirelessly print to this computer using my HP Laptop. The Desktop OS is Vista and the Laptop OS is Win7. The desktop is NOT wireless capable but the laptop is wireless capable. I have googled this topic but so far have only found information on all wireless connections. I'm not that computer literate so the more detailed the reply the better. Thank you for your help.

Additiona information: I am currently running the desktop hardwired to a wireless linksys router and am connecting wireless to the router with the laptop.
