Epson DX8400 refillable cartridges unrecognized?

I have recently acquired a set of T0711-T0714 refillable cartridges with autoressetable chips (v6.0). My printer refuses to recognize them. Is there anything I can do to force the printer to accept them? I have checked the pins, they are clean.What I want to do is just make a simple copy disconnected from the PC, but that is impossible due this nonrecognition.
Please help! Anticipated thanks.

Buy a reset chip. Most printers have smart chips on them to prevent us to use refills/remanufactured product. :)
