I recently installed my trusty old Epson R220 to a Windows 8.1 64 Bit desktop PC. The printer is working although there is no ink monitor or a maintenance tab in the printer properties, which means that I cannot set the printer for high quality printing.
I have tried updating the printer driver utilities through the Epson website and installed the epson14997.exe utility software, which unfortunately made no difference.
Any ideas please on how to fix this problem?
