We are planning on purchasing this new Epson printer. We've been running a Stylus Pro 9900 for the past 7 years. We print over the network using an EFI Colorproof XF ver 4.0.1 on a Windows XP. I know we have to upgrade the XP to at least a Windows 7. We have that in house. What I haven't been able to determine is if the RIP server we are running is compatible with the SureColor P9000.
I called Epson and they said it should but I wasn't completely confident in his answer because one of the places we're buying from stated it wasn't and we may need a new RIP...which of course will run upwards of at least a grand. And I won't call EFI because they will more likely tell me that yes I do need to upgrade.
Can anyone let me know if my old EFI RIP will work with the new printer?
