Epson SX415 not recognizing cartridges in Mac OS

This morning the printer was working but after letting Epson 'clean the heads' it quit recognizing any of the cartridges. Now it recognizes 2 out of 4.

I've tried everything and even putting the old cartridges back in and leaving no cartridges in at all, but no good. Tried turning on and off, unplugging, reinstalling the driver, patting chips very gently and their contact places in printer, nothing.

Seems to be the Status Monitor Utility but for the life of me I can't figure out how to disable it. Attached are screenshots of what it looks like when I go into the utility. System is Mac Catalina 10.15.1. Thanks so much.
