Even Epson could not figure this out WF-2750 wont take photo paper

Anytime the paper selection is made on photo (matte, glossy, etc) it gives error of mismatch between paper type settings on computer and printer. The printer screen reads "print on letter plain paper from paper cassette?" If arrow yes, the paper feeds
thru & prints bleary picture. Have tried Epson paper, different thicknesses to no avail.
If I scan in professional mode, it will freeze the screen, so have to use office mode.
So the rollers are good, seems like the communication between pc & printer are not meshing.
