How to make low quality text on Epson printer?

Hi, I have Epson Printer SX130 and I often print text pages, but my black cartridge is spent too fast.
Someone recommended me to low the quality of the text font in order to spend a lot less cartridge, namely to select grayscale option. I did that but nothing has been changed.
Anyone has a clue?

Some epsons have a 'draft' option in the print settings that prints in lower quality.

i dont really think that will help much but if cartrege price is an ishue look up Epson Printer SX130 cartiges on ebay
ii always used compatible cartridges without any problems i now use ciss mod a bit messy and is hard to install and configure but ridiculously low cost per page
