How to print in mono with black ink and no yellow ink

Hello, I have a brother dcp-j105 printer and I replaced it with black ink to print only in black and white. Unfortunately, when I want to print something in mono mode, I get a message that I can't print because I need yellow ink, which is currently empty. I don't know what you need yellow ink for black and white printing, but can it be changed?
