I have ‘inherited’ a HP ENVY Inspire 7200e printer scanner. My problem is that its previous owner had to join HP’s smart ink system, I do not wish to join this system and wish to use the printer as it is. The original cartridges have sufficient ink for my purposes buy HP will not allow me to use up the ink without joining their Smart Ink scheme. How can I bypass this restriction, any help would be much appreciated. Have tried to look at compatible cartridges for this model but I think £100 is a bit steep for me.
