Kodak All-in-one using too much ink

I have a Kodak All-in-one printer that seems to be using color ink even though I mark to use on Black and White. Whenever I print something I go to the properties, mark Draft, and then mark Black and White. The document seems to print fine. But the ink tracker will tell me that my color ink is being used up as fast as my black ink, even though I rarely ever print in color ink. Is there an issue with the printer or the programing on my computer. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate. This is a problem because once the computer thinks the color ink is gone it will not allow me to print anything until I replace both cartridges. So basically I pay for color ink I never use.

It's in your cartridge. There's a smart chips placed in it. Sometimes, you don't really need to mind it. As long as you can still print, continue.
