I have a printer that is printing C, M & Y just fine, but the black is almost non existent.
we run 3 of these MFC9340CDW machines and here is the weird thing....swapping out the toner/drum assembly does not fix the problem. The two 'good' printers print like a rocket regardless of which toner assembly is installed, the 'bad' printer prints poorly regardless of which toner assembly. I have also swapped out the belt unit, also to no avail. This machine has less than 15k pages on the clock.
So what other factors might be at play here?
