I have an hp deskjet f2280 printer. The ink level lights were flashing as empty and the letter 'E' for error was also flashing on the printer so I replaced the colour ink cartridge - there was no improvement, then I replaced the black cartridge - there is no paper jam and I have cleaned the heads on the cartridges - still no improvement. My laptop has always used windows 7 for this printer and now all of a sudden my printer says it is no longer compatible with windows 7. Bizarre??
I have run the disc to re-install the software also downloaded it from HP - but still no improvement. The printer, however works when I remove the black cartridge. I have placed two new black cartridges in as many days but it hasn't corrected the problem. Can anyone help me with this. Explained in laymans terms please.
