I have a OKI ML280 dot matrix printer which was branded & sold as a Sailor H1252B printer for marine use. It runs on 10.8 - 30v DC. However, on power up the printer head carriage jitters and fails to home. If you push it slightly, it will move a bit then stop. Thinking it might have been the Indu board at fault as there were several leaky capacitors on there, I changed it for a refurished one - same problem, so obviously something else. The head carriage moves smoothly if moved when power is off, so not jammed or impeded in any way.
Does anyone know what a probable cause might be please?
TIA - Jonathan
