Photography printer Epson R2000?

I am finally ready to move up to a decent printer for photographs. I found a like new Epson R2000. Is this worth picking up?
Doing some research, it seems like this model has been around for a while (is that good?) and does this mean it is dependable?
This is basic an open box unit. I have been using an older Epson stylus printer.
