remanufactured ink

All of a sudden my EP Envy Photo 7155 is rejecting remanufactured ink cartridges. I have been using the same bland (LD) for years with no issues, but now I get a message that the "indicated cartridges have been blocked by the printer firmware........". HP says they cannot help because it is not their cartridge.
