Still can't get printer to connect, 6 months after purchase

I called Epson, guy didn't want to help, said he would email me instructions... never received anything (checked spam too). I had a friend who knows computer stuff try and the didn't get far. Can anyone help me please? I've tried all sorts of online things too, after the instructions from Epson didn't work. I'm not a computer tech type, so if anyone can suggest a website with instructions for 5 year olds, that would be great. Thankyou so much!
