Suggestions for Unblocking Pigment Inks

Hey Guys,
I have a Canon MP560 that requires a pigment black cartridge, however the printer no longer prints this color which is an issue when trying to print standard documents. I have tried running warm water through the printhead along with purchasing a chemical print head unblocker kit, however nothing has fixed it. Could it be possible that there is a problem with something other than the printhead?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated guys as this has gotten me pretty stumped.

If you can't unblock it, have you considered replacing the printhead? They're around £40 to £50 on Ebay
