When to buy??

We are looking into buying a new multifunction unit and we were informed that there is a "better" time to buy. Is this just bs or is there actually a good time to buy a new unit. We are looking at the ricoh c651 or the aficio mp7500. Also just wondering if anyone has either of these units and what you may think of them. Thank you to all who reply.

Are you referring to the time of production? or you have an existing unit that you want to replace. Kinda confusing. :)
