Which printer to buy

I need a new inkjet printer. Can someone recommend a printer that:

-Does a good job printing a photo on 8x10 inch premium photo paper

-Can be used as a scanner as well

-Does NOT automatically send an order to the company when I'm low on ink

-Does NOT send usage data to the company?

It can be wireless or USB connected. It can have bottles of ink or cartridges.

If you do not want to send data to the manufacturer, you have to be careful when installing the printer software. At some point the installation program will ask you if you want to send information to the manufacturer. Just say no.

Also say no when it ask if you want to receive updates of printer software. Most of the time it is only to detect when you do not have original cartridges installed.

Do you really need an ink jet printer - I mean do you really need things printed in color. I had a Canon MX922 which died after 1 year and 4 months - printhead error 1403. I wanted a printer and a scanner too. I don't care about color so I just found this printer

Which printer is best for you ? Depends upon your needs. I use inkjet printer because it provides me high quality images.
