Windows 8/10 driver for Canon iR1510

I have a couple of iR1510 copier printers which we use as workhorses for B&W prints. I have got the printer to work via USB to a Windows 7 Workstation using the Canon CAPT R1.10 printer driver. However I cannot share this printer on the windows 7 workstation and print from a Windows 10 PC. It tries to download the driver from Windows update and then fails and asks for a location. If I point it to the CAPT driver it cannot install it.
Is there another Canon device driver that will work with this iR1510 or is there a way to set up this device on a network without having to install the driver on the client pc?
