Xerox WorkCentre 7556 - Tandem Tray (Trays 2, 3 and 4) no longer visible

Hello All

Following a replacement of the Tray 3 Feeder Assembly (some sensor wires on the feeder got severed), after several cold start reboots the printer only recognises / "sees" the built-in Tray 1 and 5 (manual tray). It appear to have "lost" the Tandem Tray module containing Trays 2, 3 and 4.

There are no error messages on the printer, which is quite puzzling. I've checked the wiring to and from the Tray Module PWB and also the on-board fuses on the Tray Module PWB and they all appear to be fine.

It's as if the Tandem Tray module never existed.

I'm going to check the power feed into the Tray Module PWB, but any other thoughts as to next steps on diagnosis?

Hey, sounds like the printer isn’t detecting the tandem tray at all. I’d double-check the connection between the Tray Module PWB and the main board maybe a loose or damaged harness. Also, make sure the module’s getting power and check for any bent pins or broken connectors. Could be a comms issue even if fuses look fine.
