EPSON ET5880 send paper out message when printing envelopes, or paper jam, when cassette is full and no envelopes are jammed.

I have four EPSON ET 5880 printers. All have a problem with feeding envelopes. Frequently get Paper Out or Paper Jam messages when there are envelopes in the cassette and no jammed envelopes. Looking for an explanation and solution.
