Best printer for my home needs!

I am looking for a new printer for home use. I print very small amounts, maybe a few pages every few days. I want to have color option even know 90% of my printing will be black and white. My printer may sit for 4-5 months without getting any use if I am away. I want to have scan, copy option as well, but will be using these two functions very minimal. My initial outlay would like to keep to under $300. I am leaning towards a Laserjet Printer. Realistically how long could I have with toner cartridges if I am a very low usage printer user? Two laserjet printers I am looking at below, but open to other printer suggestions. Thanks.
