Brother MFC-J995DW always says offline when trying to print.

I have the Brother MFC-J995DW printer and every time that I need to use the printer it always says offline when trying to print. Every day I have to turn the printer off and back on in order for it to start working properly. I might just deal with the frustration if it was a cheap $50 dollar printer, but at $300 I would expect this printer to work perfectly. My wife and I both use the Surface Pro 6 running the latest Windows software and we both have the same issue. Any suggestions to help?
