Brother Printer/Scanner puts Star on scans

Can anyone help? I have a DCP-J925DW Brother printer. When I scan documents each page has a hollow star placed at random on the page. Very annoying. How can I get rid of it?

What is your OS? Windows or Mac?
What are you trying to print?
What application are you using to print?
This is called watermarking. Look in application options to disable watermarking.


Brother printers also have watermarking feature built in.
If using Windows, click Start -> devices & Printers -> right click Brother Printer Icon -> Click properties ->
Advanced Tab -> Select Disable Watermark
