Cannot print envelopes!

Hiya, bought a new WF 7840 some 4 weeks ago. It was very difficult to set up and the outstanding problem is I cannot print envelopes on the printer.

I have tried placing the envelopes in both cassettes and the paper tray and not a thing happens.

The error message on the control panel says 'mismatch between paper and printer settings'....well, I check every time and it all looks fine to me. Can anybody help?

on the machine specs it says envelope type #10
is this what you are using
depending were the side guides for the cassettes are tells the machine what size paper is
on the paper tray can you set the paper size manually ie custom size
measure envelope put sizes in
then choose paper and not envelope see if it works
