Hello everyone,

i have a canon iX4000, but suddenly, during printig it turned off and never came back again. Powerlight is off, and doesn´t turn on again. I got a knew power supply unit, but still: no reaction.

Can anyone imagine what´s the matter in this case?

thanks

Maybe a power surge...matter of fact sounds just like your board went out on it due to a power surge or just a bad power supply.....just a guess.

I just had this exact same phenoma happen (though I don't have a spare power supply to test with).
I've got an iX4000 and also an iX5000.
Both of these printers were bought at a very similar time, and both have bricked within a couple of weeks of each other.
Due to power surge?
Well if it was a surge, surely both would have gone at same time (as they are both generally on at the same time in the office).

Also - wouldn't other machines have also gone belly up if we'd had a surge?

Or is this an example of programmed obsolescence?
