Canon MP499 scanning problem

Hi all.

I'm on a wireless keyboard so if letters are missing, that's why.

I have a canon mp499 and I had it set up with a cable to a pc and then wirelessly to a macbook. If I wanted to scan it always went to a folder on the pc. The pc died and now I just pint everything from my mac, but I cannot scan anything.

When I press the scan button it displays E3.

Does anyone have any ideas?
