Canon Pixma MG2450 "Ink absorber full" counter reset?

I cleaned the ink collection sponge, but the printer still reports an error.
How to reset the counter? So far I have not found a solution to this anywhere.
Is this possible at all with the MG2450? Thanks in advance for the helpful answers!

Hi, I do not know If it still needed, but I figured out how to put MG2450 printer into service mode:
1 Turn on printer
2 Press STOP and hold it
3 Unplug printer from AC
4 Plug in printer
5 Release the Stop button

Good luck with software tools. To be honest - I just gave up after couple of failed attemts to find out software
that fits this (abomination) printer and just ordered EEPROM with "fresh" ink level number to resolder by station.
