I have a Brother MFC-L2690DW and CenturyLink C4000LG modem and I've been trying to connect my printer to the Internet and it won't let me. I see the wireless network on the printer screen and every time I try to input my password it won't let my finish it. I'm not computer savvy so I don't know what to do. Can anyone help me please?

Thanks Ken

First be sue you have the correct password. Connect you cell phone to your network to verify it will connect.

Some people reset their passwords and then forget them. If you did not reset your password then look on the modem for the password and be sure you enter it correctly. Be sure to put capital letters in if there are any, passwords are case sensitive.

Your Wi-Fi password is likely too long or uses unsupported symbols, so shorten it temporarily and the Brother will connect right away.

Hey Ken, try this:
  • Make sure you’re connecting to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (Brother won’t do 5 GHz).
  • When typing the password, scroll down and hit OK/Apply — the menu is goofy.
  • Easiest: use WPS (Menu → Network → WLAN → WPS), then press the WPS button on your modem.
Should connect after that. Hope it helps!
