Color problem with XP 8800 on Mac

I have a new XP 8800 for which I have installed the color profiles in ColorSync/profiles on my Mac. I tried printing a photo from Photoshop using Printer Manages Colors and Epson Color Controls in Color Matching and the correct media type in print settings, and the colors in the print were awful and nothing like the image. What am I doing wrong?

Your print colors are likely off because both Photoshop and the printer are managing colors, causing a conflict. To fix this, set Photoshop to manage colors and choose the correct ICC profile for your paper. Then, in the printer settings, make sure Color Matching is set to ColorSync (not Epson Color Controls), and turn off any additional color management in the driver. This way, only Photoshop handles color correction, which should give you much more accurate prints.
