I've got the Ecotank 2800 , but upon printing it often gives a "fake" paper jam or paper out error even though its not out or jammed and even after cleaning rollers and sensors, putting through cleaning paper, turning on and off, cleaning print heads, is there a better fix or a a sensor replacement, usually I can get it working for a day and the very next day it will jam? how do you fix this? Anyone?

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating and fairly common issue on the Epson Ecotank ET-2800/2850 series where the printer falsely reports a paper jam or paper out error, even when everything seems fine.

Since you've already done the basics—cleaning rollers, sensors, running cleaning sheets, restarting, and even cleaning print heads—here are a few additional things to try that might solve the issue more permanently:

1. Check the Rear Feed Sensors and Flag Mechanism

Sometimes, the small plastic flag or sensor in the rear feed area can get misaligned or stuck. If the sensor arm doesn’t spring back properly, the printer will think paper is jammed or missing:

  • Look inside the rear feed path (with a flashlight if needed).
  • Check for any small pieces of debris or even tiny paper scraps that might be interfering.
  • Gently move the sensor flap to see if it moves freely.

2. Inspect the Paper Tray and Paper Guides

  • Make sure the paper guides are snug against the paper without being too tight.
  • Avoid overloading the tray or using curled/wrinkled paper.
  • Try using a different batch or brand of paper—some sensors are more sensitive to very bright or very thin paper.
