Epson ET-5850 IP address problem

I’m trying helping my dad resolve a printer issue. On his Epson ET-5850, if he sets a static IP to say 192.168.168.x, after a few pages of printing, the printer changes the IP address back to its default of 10.1.1.x. Then, the printing stops until set back to my dad’s IP range of 192.168.168.x. Anyone know whey this is happening? Thanks.

Try uninstalling the software/drivers on the computer, restart, and then install the newest version of both. On the printer, reset to factory default if there is an option to do that and try again.
