Epson L565 ADF Scanning Issue

I’ve got this Epson L565 printer. It scans well from the glass, but from the ADF, it’s does it badly. See the attached sample.

I’ve cleaned the glass and the transparent plastic cover through which the paper is passing to get scanned to no avail.

What could be behind this issue?
