Epson Print Layout not loading some TIFFs / RT-8550 / Mac

This is a weird one which I believe has popped up on this forum some time ago.

I have a new ET8550, it seems to work very well (After faffing with lots of papers and settling on Epson paper.) Tried lots of different software to proint from and, settled on Epson Print Layout. I've used this with no problem for about a dozen photos while setting up. And then yesterday I tried a new photo and the EPL screen just stayed blank and it says "Image not loaded"

Tried a number of different tiffs now, and some load and some don't, with no apparent difference between them. Very frustrating.

Anyone had this and fixed it?

Hey, I’ve run into this before! For me, it was something weird with the TIFF metadata some files just wouldn’t load in EPL, even though they looked fine elsewhere. Try re-saving the image from Preview or Photoshop as a new TIFF (flattened if possible). That fixed the “Image not loaded” issue for me. Seems like EPL is picky about certain file structures.
