Epson printer defaulting to glossy paper

My Epson XP-355 is set on my laptop to default to standard paper, and this shows as the default on the printer when it's initially turned on. But when I try to print or copy the 'standard' paper option isn't available - it only has the 'glossy' options. I've reset the defaults via my laptop several times but the standard paper option is still missing on the printer.

Thanks but I've sorted it myself - I had it set to borderless rather than' with border' so it wouldn't take the plain paper.
