epson printer question

How do I get an Epson xp-430 to print on a 3.5x9 time card?
I have the info formatted into a report, set to print one page per person.
It works fine on 8.5x11 and #10 envelope, but when I try to use the 3.5x9 timecard, it just sends them through with no printing and then says it's jammed.

Any suggestions?

Perhaps time card is too thick for printer. Try cutting printer paper to same size, just to see if that prints.

Nailed it--regular paper cut to same size works just as it should.
Hard to believe a new printer cant handle card stock.
